Marco Migliorelli is an economist with fifteen years of experience in academia and policy formulation. He holds a doctorate in banking and finance from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and a master's degree in economics from the same university. Since 2013, he has worked for the European institutions, first at the Court of Justice of the European Union, then at the European Commission. His areas of expertise include banking and sustainable finance. He is also the author of several publications. His latest book is called "The Rise of Green Finance in Europe", published by Springer.
He joined the Finagri Chair in 2016 as an associate researcher. Since then, he has analyzed from an academic perspective the possible use of innovative financing instruments in the agricultural sector, including securitization, and more generally the role of finance in achieving climate and environmental objectives in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement.
