Sustainable Finance Researcher
Romain Berrou, a PhD student in the final year at Paris 1 - Pantheon Sorbonne University. He works on the theme of sustainable finance, with a focus on sustainability regulations, environmental and social data, the financing of corporate bonds and machine learning methods in asset price valuation. He holds a master's degree in Finance from ESCP Europe.
Thanks to his doctoral work, Romain Berrou has acquired in-depth knowledge of the sustainable finance sector and the challenges facing private and public actors. Its main line of research is based on understanding the impact of financial markets by the urgency of climate change. Which could create a new paradigm for practitioners and academics.
Romain Berrou has worked for the Finagri chair since 2016 in order to understand the central role of agriculture in climate adaptation and mitigation and how innovative financial products based on quality environmental and social data that could provide a new form funding needed for high priority sectors.
Romain Berrou is teaching an online MBA course on green finance. He is also a guest speaker as part of a sustainable finance course within an MBA Finance.
Romain Berrou is co-editor of two chapters of the book "The Rise of Green Finance in Europe" and of three articles in the financial magazine "Magazine du Center des Professions Financières", Green Finance editions.
